This Privacy Policy describes how Romeoz Apps ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use the RosterPro mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account information: name, email address, and password when you sign up. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive a private relay email and your name.
  • Team and player information: team names, sports, ages, player names, jersey numbers, positions, statistics, and other content you create.
  • Communications: messages you send through team chat, polls you create or vote in, and content you share with your team.
  • Photos and media: photos and videos you upload to share with your team.
  • Payment information: handled by Square and Apple's StoreKit. We do not store payment card details.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Device information: device type, operating system version, app version, and unique device identifiers for push notification delivery.
  • Usage data: features used, screens viewed, and crashes for the purpose of improving the app.
  • Location: only when you grant permission, used to auto-fill event locations and fetch weather forecasts.

How We Use Information

  • Provide the Service, including live scoring, stats tracking, team management, and messaging.
  • Send push notifications about games, messages, and team updates.
  • Process subscription payments through Apple and Square.
  • Generate AI-powered insights (lineup suggestions, post-game recaps) using Anthropic's Claude API. We send game data to Anthropic for processing but do not include personal identifiers beyond first/last names.
  • Fetch weather forecasts from Open-Meteo for event locations.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security issues.

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

RosterPro is intended for use by coaches, parents, and guardians of youth athletes. Children under 13 should not create their own accounts. Where a child's name or statistics appear in the Service, that content is added by an adult coach or parent.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these situations:

  • With your team: rosters, schedules, scores, and messages are shared with members of teams you join.
  • Service providers: Apple (push notifications, payments), Square (subscription billing), Anthropic (AI features), Open-Meteo (weather), and our self-hosted server infrastructure.
  • Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users.
  • Business transfers: if Romeoz Apps is acquired or merged, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Your Rights

  • Access: view your data through the app or by emailing us.
  • Export: export your team's roster, schedule, and stats as CSV from inside the app.
  • Correction: edit any information you provide.
  • Deletion: delete your account from this page or in-app under Settings → Account.
  • Opt-out of communications: turn off push notifications in iOS Settings.

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA. EU/UK residents have rights under GDPR. Contact us to exercise any of these rights.

Security

We use industry-standard security practices including TLS encryption for data in transit and Argon2 password hashing. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice in the app or sending email.
